Description
Starting college or returning to the classroom can feel exciting—but it can also come with doubts and challenges. "Thriving In College" is a supportive workshop created for students who are either beginning their journey or returning to college.
Together, we’ll talk about:
Understanding and overcoming imposter syndrome
Building confidence in your academic journey
Finding community with others who share your experiences
This workshop is hybrid: you can join us virtually on Zoom or in person at San Diego Miramar College. Laptops are recommended, but computers will also be available for in-person participants. This workshop will also contribute to Promise requirement to attend an event.

Questions & Answers
Help students recognize and work through imposter syndrome (the feeling of not belonging or not being “good enough”.
Provide tools to build confidence in their academic journey.
Create space to connect with others who are starting or returning, so they know they’re not alone.
This event will take place both online via Zoom and in person at San Diego Miramar College in classroom M-106. Laptops are recommended but computers provided if needed.
